They are opening with 100 chicken or Cauli Sandos for just £2!
Cardiff’s cult Nashville hot chicken joint Fowl and Fury is finally spreading its wings beyond Cathays, officially opening the doors to its brand-new Canton site on Wednesday 11th June.

Taking over the former Wiwo noodle bar location on Cowbridge Road East, the move marks a major moment for the award-winning brand, which first opened in 2022 and quickly built a reputation for delivering some of the spiciest, crispiest, and most addictive fried chicken in the city.
Run by husband-and-wife duo Jamie and Natalia Rees, Fowl and Fury has built its name on a simple but solid menu. At the heart of it all? One glorious sandwich – affectionately known as the ‘sando’ – served up in a range of fiery heat levels, alongside comforting Southern-style sides. Vegan and veggie fans can also opt for their cauli version, which has become a hit in its own right.
The Canton launch comes nearly eight months after the team teased the second site on Instagram, and now the wait is over – with a launch night special to celebrate. From 5pm on Wednesday 11th June, the first 100 chicken or cauliflower sandos will be sold for just £2 each, as a thank you to their loyal followers who helped them level up to a second site. Once they’re gone, the doors close for the day.
Speaking on a social media post, owner Jamie said:
“We were told when we started that it could be hype or gimmick. I think you’ll find we’ve been pretty damn consistent over the past three years and we’re only getting better. Here’s to the next few years.”
With bold fiery flavours, loyal fans, and a no-nonsense approach to quality, Fowl and Fury’s arrival in Canton looks set to spice up the local food scene going the likes of Calabrisella, smoking’ Gridle and joining them soon Haystack pancakes. Just make sure you get there early – those £2 sandos won’t hang around.
