Bwydiful burgers make the move full-time to Victoria Park

An amazing new burger bar is opening in Cardiff.

One of Cardiff’s best burger pop-ups is excited to be opening its first permanent location in Victoria Park, Cardiff this summer.

Bwydiful Burger posted on social media a small clue hinting towards a new permanent home and we can reveal the burger pop-up have taken the empty unit at the top of Cowbridge Road East.

They will join other hugely popular restaurant such as Dough thrower, Pettigrew Bakery, and Fintans fish & Chips when they open this summer.

Bwydiful is an ambitious mobile street food business, formed of a partnership between Chris Mason and Jon Gregor. Chris and Jon left successful careers in summer 2015 to pursue a passion for food and a burning desire to establish and run a prosperous business. Having been best friends for 5 years, they had enjoyed many fantastic meals and wanted to take this love of real food, done well to the streets.

Bwydiful prides itself on using local independent suppliers to source the best Welsh produce available and will continue this approach in its first premises. Bwydiful exclusively uses Welsh beef supplied by Farmer’s Pantry at Rosedew Farm in Llantwit Major, and serves its burgers in freshly baked sourdough rolls baked by Nata & Co. Bwydiful is also delighted to be partnering with Crafty Devil Brewing to bring the best in local beer to its first restaurant.

Victoria Park is growing as a hub for fantastic, independent food venues and Bwydiful is delighted to be joining this club.

“We are over the moon to have secured an awesome location opposite Victoria Park and we’re looking forward to joining the other wonderful businesses already causing a stir on the South Wales food scene. We’ve had wonderful support from our customers over the last few years, and we look forward to welcoming customers old and new to our first restaurant.”

said Chris Mason, Managing Partner at Bwydiful

“Of course, the hard work starts here as we make our vision a reality. Our menu will continue to focus on offering gorgeous burgers to the people of Cardiff, using amazing local produce. Sourcing our food and drinks locally, and supporting other independent businesses will continue to be our focus when we open in the summer”

added Jon Gregor, Managing Partner at Bwydiful

Bwydiful will continue to operate its pop-up business, offering fantastic street food for weddings and parties, and at events across South Wales and beyond. Bwydiful has been a finalist in the ‘Best Street Food’ category of the Food Awards Wales in 2017 and 2018.
