Let there be light!


As the summer holiday seasons draw to a close, managers of a new festive attraction have revealed plans for its flagship festive event.

Prepare to be dazzled this Christmas when a new magical winter trail lights up the evening skies in Bute park. A new after dark light trail is taking place ahead of Christmas, with laser lights and a wishing tree. The luminous attraction is coming to Bute park and Gardens in Cardiff for a month and promises to be the largest light trail in Wales.

The light trail is approx 60-minutes and is the first time a large-scale light trail comes to the much-loved Bute Park, and promises to be a twinkling treat.

Take the magical journey through the lights in the run up to Christmas and witness the 3D projections, light tunnels, interactive elements, including a mesmerising lily pond, flickering fire sculptures, spectacular mirror ball displays, illuminated trees, Fun fair and much more!


The attraction will run from the 25th November 2021 – 31st December 2021

Visitors will be welcomed into a Christmas hub area where they will be able to buy mulled wine to embrace the festivities.

Tickets can be booked on the Christmas at Bute Park website from Monday, August 16. Adults (aged 16 and above) costs £18, Children aged 3-15, £13, under 3’s are free and a family ticket, for two adults and two children, is £55.
