Renowned Chef  Tom Simmons plans to take over Park House Club

The Park House club is set for revival with plans for a new restaurant by renowned welsh chef Tom Simmons

One of Cardiff’s most iconic buildings, The Park House on park place, could soon be brought back to life after standing empty for 18 months. Cardiff Council is considering a financial loan of £1.63 million to help cover the increased refurbishment costs needed to restore the Grade 1 listed building. The project is part of the Welsh Government’s Town Centre Regeneration scheme.

Once restored, Park House will be transformed into a restaurant and events venue led by renowned Welsh chef Tom Simmons, known for his creative approach to cooking. The revitalization aims to blend the building’s historic charm with modern dining, making it a premier destination for both locals and visitors.

Simmons also plans to work with local schools, offering event management training through the Cardiff Commitment initiative, providing students with valuable skills and opportunities. The restoration of Park House promises to boost the local economy and breathe new life into this architectural gem.
