Crafty Devil is set to launch a new venue in Penarth on the site of the old Ocho lounge and they need your help through their Crowdfunder
Local brewery Crafty Devil Brewing Co is launching a crowdfunding campaign to support the opening of its newest venue. The new venue, “Cellar Penarth”, will be the latest addition to the growing local brewery. The Cellar Penarth will be a community focused bar that specialises in great local beer and hand-picked locally sourced food.
The Cellar Penarth will be taking up the old Ocho Lounge site, who moved across the street last year .
The new community venue will be a strong addition to Penarth’s thriving independent business scene, which includes award-winning Bar 44, Baroque nightclub and The Brewstone which is set to open later this year.
Childhood friends and founders of the brewery, Adam Edinborough and Rhys Watkins, grew up in the area of Penarth and the new venue will be a homecoming for the Crafty Devils. Crafty Devil (founded 2014) has grown from the fabled shed to one of the top-rated breweries in Wales, with one venue in Canton and Cardiff city centre.
The venue will have seven dedicated Crafty Devil taps, a fine selection of wines and spirits and a lovingly picked menu of locally sourced food.
The venue will be working closely with the community to build an institution that is as well-known as the Penarth Marina or the Dolly Steps.

We are excited to announce the opening of our latest venue: Crafty Devil’s Cellar Penarth. We grew up in the Penarth area and it feels like a homecoming. Since we started in 2014, our passion has always been to brew beer that we wanted to drink and to run venues that are hubs of the community. Penarth holds so many memories for us and now we get to create new stories, new friends and even better beer.
