One of South Wales’ favourite burger joints, the Burger Boyz are preparing to open its fifth site in Cardiff. Known for their indulgent, stacked burgers, the brand, which began its journey in Port Talbot, has quickly become a go-to for burger lovers across the region.
Their new home? The former Ansh Burger site near Victoria Park in Canton – a prime spot that’s already buzzing with some great venues such as the Let them see cake, Pettigrew and the newly opened Hiraeth. With a reputation for serving up premium burgers crafted from the finest ingredients and packed with bold, creative flavours, Burger Boyz promises to be a hit with Cardiff locals.
Launched in 2021 by school friends Marcin Sadlos and Jack Phillips, Burger Boyz is a true passion project. The pair left their full-time jobs in the engineering industry to pursue their culinary dreams, starting with a food truck called The Truck Norris, before taking over the kitchen at The Red Lion pub in Port Talbot. They have been serving at Twenty Six at the Bone years this summer and they are finally taking a spot near as a permanent Cardiff location.
Whether you’re a fan of classic cheeseburgers, inventive toppings, or loaded sides, Burger Boyz brings a mix of options that are as satisfying as they are delicious. Their commitment to quality and flair has earned them a loyal following, and the Cowbridge Road East location is set to bring their famous flavour closer to the heart of the city.
The team is aiming to open their doors around March or April, so keep your eyes peeled for updates as they put the finishing touches on their newest spot. One thing’s for sure: Cardiff’s burger scene is about to level up!
Stay tuned for more details, and prepare to sink your teeth into some seriously good burgers this spring.
