A brand new Italian restaurant has opened on Penarth Esplanade, bringing a taste of the Mediterranean to the Welsh coast just in time for spring.
The new seasonal spot opened on 1st March, taking over the former site of Chef G’s, with plans to run through the warmer months until September. Because the restaurant operates for a limited season, the team are making the most of it by opening seven days a week, giving locals and visitors plenty of chances to enjoy the seafront setting.

Set right along the promenade with views across Penarth Pier and the Bristol Channel, the restaurant blends classic Italian cooking with relaxed coastal dining. It is the sort of place where you can settle in for a long lunch, cocktails in the sun, or a laid-back dinner while watching the tide roll in.
The menu focuses on fresh Italian dishes cooked with care. Highlights include Pollo al Taleggio, a rich and comforting chicken dish finished with the creamy northern Italian cheese, and Branzino di Napoli, featuring two fillets of pan-fried sea bass served with mussels and king prawns.

Alongside the restaurant menu, there is also a takeaway option, perfect for anyone wanting to grab something and wander along the seafront. Think crispy calamari or a calzone pizza enjoyed with the sea air and views across the water.
Inside, the restaurant also offers a private hire room for parties and special occasions, making it a good option for birthdays, celebrations or summer gatherings by the sea.

With cocktails flowing, Italian flavours on the menu and one of the best views in Penarth, the new arrival is hoping to become a popular summer stop.
Eddie from the team puts it: “Come and try us. We’re only open for the summer and you won’t regret it.”
Bookings are now open for anyone wanting to grab a table by the water.- https://tuttiitalian.co.uk
