THE PRODIGY AND CARL COX SET TO IGNITE CARDIFF

Cardiff is about to be shaken to its core. Two of the biggest names in electronic music — The Prodigy and Carl Cox — are reuniting for a tour of pure, high-octane chaos in April 2026, and yes, they’re bringing it to Cardiff.

Following their long-awaited and emotional return to Glastonbury this summer — their first since the heartbreaking loss of frontman Keith Flint — the iconic electronic punks are taking the full-throttle Prodigy experience back on the road. And with them? None other than Carl Cox himself, returning to his genre-smashing 3-deck vinyl setup for an explosive two-hour set from doors open. This isn’t just a support act — it’s a full-scale rave from the jump.

The Cardiff date forms part of a UK and Ireland tour that promises “straight-up ruckus”, tearing through fan favourites from across the band’s seven UK Number 1 albums, with new material teased along the way. For Welsh fans, it’s set to be one of the most anticipated live electronic events of the year — and possibly the decade.

Speaking about the tour, Liam Howlett of The Prodigy said:

“We’re bringin’ back that full experience of non-stop noise and beats from doors to getting chucked out… it will be that full Prodigy experience as it was then and how it continues to be now. And yeah, we’re droppin’ new tunes for the people. We’ve got our old friend Carl joining us, so expect full attack mode, factor 9… Let’s go!”

Carl Cox, who helped define the original UK rave scene, added:

“I love working with these guys. It’s been a long time coming. They knew me back when I was spinning hardcore rave on 3 turntables — and that’s the vibe I’m bringing back. New skool, old skool… this is going to be wild. Cardiff — we’re coming for you.”

This isn’t just a show — it’s a full-body, full-sensory experience from two pioneers of UK rave culture. Cardiff’s electronic music scene has been growing stronger year-on-year, and this gig marks a huge moment in the city’s calendar for 2026.
