inished university and wondering what comes next? One of Wales’ biggest graduate careers events is returning to Cardiff this September, bringing more than 40 major employers and organisations under one roof.
GradCon Cymru takes over DEPOT Cardiff on Tuesday 8 and Wednesday 9 September, offering two completely free days of job opportunities, networking, advice and the chance to actually speak face-to-face with some of Wales’ biggest employers.

And if you’ve recently graduated without having your next move figured out, this could be a good place to start.
The event is designed to be much more than walking around collecting leaflets. Previous GradCon events have seen attendees progress directly to interviews and secure graduate jobs, including positions with Enterprise Mobility and JCP Solicitors.
This year’s Cardiff event will feature organisations including Companies House, Transport for Wales, Welsh Government, Admiral, DVLA, Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water, Creative Cardiff and JCP Solicitors, alongside employers working across technology, engineering, finance, law, education and the public sector.
It means you can spend an afternoon exploring completely different career paths, discover jobs you might not have considered and speak directly to the people responsible for recruiting graduates.
There are a few useful freebies thrown in too.

Visitors can get a free professional headshot to finally replace that questionable LinkedIn profile picture, take their CV along for a free CV clinic, hear from industry speakers and find out more about graduate schemes and current opportunities.
The event is split across two days.
Tuesday 8 September is the General Day and is open to final-year students and graduates from all degree backgrounds.
Wednesday 9 September is dedicated to STEM, with a particular focus on careers and opportunities for graduates from science, technology, engineering and maths backgrounds.
Both days will also begin with a Quiet Hour from 11am until midday, offering a calmer environment for anyone who would prefer to explore the event before it gets busier. The main event then runs from 12pm until 3pm.
Whether you’ve got your career mapped out, you’re considering a completely different direction or you’ve graduated and still haven’t got a clue what you want to do next, GradCon Cymru offers a chance to see what’s actually out there.
Best of all, it’s completely free to attend.
