The Rolling Stones confirm a stadium gig in Cardiff

The first of the summer’s big stadium gigs has been confirmed.
The Rolling Stones have announced details of a huge tour of UK and Ireland this summer, including dates in London, Manchester and Edinburgh.
The rock icons,  have confirmed the worst kept secret that they will be playing Cardiff’s Principality Stadium on June 15.

The announcement comes after Stones fans in the UK were left disappointed last year when a lack of suitable venues meant that their European tour didn’t head to these shores.
“It’s such a joy to play with this band there’s no stopping us, we’re only just getting started really,” says Keith Richards.
Mick Jagger adds of the live dates: “This part of the No Filter tour is really special for the Stones. We are looking forward to getting back onstage in the summer and playing to fans in the UK and Ireland. Its always exhilarating going to cities we haven’t played for quite a while and also some new venues for us like Old Trafford & The London Stadium.”
Rock and roll legends The Rolling Stones last played the Cardiff in the summer of 2006, at the Millennium Stadium.

Tickets go on sale for all UK tickets on the 26th Feb at 12pm via Ticketmaster
