Kiiōtō to Arrive at The Globe in Cardiff on UK Tour

Lou Rhodes of Lamb and the award-winning musician Rohan Heath bring their acclaimed new project to Welsh audiences this autumn.

Leading independent music venue, The Globe is proud to announce that Kiiōtō featuring Lou Rhodes of Lamb will headline the venue on Thursday 15 October 2026. This special date forms part of the duo’s UK tour in support of their celebrated new album Black Salt, making it a must see for Welsh fans eager to catch the project at close quarters.

Kiiōtō is the collaboration between Mercury Music Prize-nominated singer songwriter Lou Rhodes, former lead vocalist and co-founder of Lamb, and award-winning pianist and songwriter Rohan Heath. After both had stepped away from making music, the pair reunited on a road trip through Louisiana, sparking the creation of their 2024 debut album As Dust We Rise. Receiving critical acclaim from MOJO and Uncut for its elegant storytelling and the interplay between Heath’s piano and Rhodes’ unmistakable voice, the project kickstarted a powerful new partnership.

That sonic world expands further on sophomore LP, Black Salt, released in April 2026, drawing on jazz, broken beat and soul textures while exploring themes of identity, violence, and the modern digital mind. The album features contributions from Hawi Gondwe, Andy Hamill, Mykey Wilson and even a cameo from David Arnold, underscoring the duo’s commitment to bold, genre defying arrangements.

The Globe remains one of Cardiff’s most vital independent venues. With a capacity of 350, the venue provides a rare sense of closeness between performers and fans, making every show electric. Combining its heritage charm with a forward-thinking programme, The Globe continues to champion outstanding live music in Cardiff, staging the UK’s most celebrated acts from Catfish and the Bottlemen and Marcus Mumford to Public Service Broadcasting and Kate Nash.

Kiiōtō’s Cardiff date promises a night of immersive storytelling, striking musicianship and the unmistakable presence of Rhodes’ voice. With Black Salt marking a new creative peak for the duo, this performance offers Welsh fans the chance to experience the album’s depth and intensity, live.
