Popular new burger restaurant Fat Hippo opens in Cardiff

New burger restaurant Fat Hippo opens on Church street

Fat Hippo, a group of independent burger joints found all over the UK, have opened  their brand new restaurant in Cardiff city centre.

The company, who specialise in mouth-watering burgers, loaded fries and more ‘good old fashioned, roll up your sleeves and get it all over your face’ food, will open the brand new restaurant on Church Street today, Friday 20th May.

This is Fat Hippo’s first restaurant in Wales and the company, who have 12 more locations across the UK, has exciting plans to continue growing, with further sites being established over the next year, including Glasgow and Birmingham.

With a full menu of their signature beef and buttermilk chicken patties, that come with free fries as standard, Fat Hippo Cardiff will have a carefully designed range of vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free options available as well as a great value kids menu.

The menu’s focus is those burgers – as well as a handful of veggie and kids’ options – which range from a classic American-style option (£8.50 with all chips and trimmings) to the monstrous-sounding 4X4, which consists of four 4oz patties topped with bacon, cheese and Fat Hippo sauce (£14), as well as signature burger, the PB&J, which comes with peanut butter, cheese and bacon jam. Yes, peanut butter.
