New Street Food Festival Set to Take Over Cardiff City Centre

A brand new street food festival is coming to Cardiff, bringing food, music and a lively market atmosphere right into the heart of the city.

The free event will take over Queen Street (CF10 2GR) across three weekends in 2026:

  • 16th – 19th April
  • 9th – 12th July
  • 24th – 27th September

Running from 10am to 7pm Thursday to Saturday, and 10am to 5pm on Sundays, the festival will transform one of Cardiff’s busiest shopping streets into a hub of street food, independent traders and entertainment.

Visitors can expect a mix of street food stalls, sweet treats, drinks, artisan goods, DJs and live entertainment, all set within a relaxed, open-air setting. The event is free to attend, and both family and dog friendly, making it an easy option for a day out in the city centre.

Organisers have already seen strong success with similar events across the Midlands and in Swansea, and are now bringing the concept to Cardiff for the first time.

With three dates spread across spring, summer and early autumn, the new festival is set to add something fresh to the city’s events calendar, giving people another reason to head into town and soak up the atmosphere.
