A husband-and-wife team have expanded their venture to Cardiff after TikTok viral success.
Have you ever wanted to cosy up in your own private cinema? Sian and John Colderley happened upon the idea eight years ago when, in Disneyland with their children, they wanted a break from the crowds to watch a film as a family. During lockdown they set about making their idea a reality, developing a cinema pod in their back garden which soon expanded to three after popular demand.
A first of its kind in the UK, Sian and John have showcased their modular cinema pods at the Grand Design shows and The Gadget Show after creating three pods in Dinas Powys. But the best part is, six new pods are opening in Cardiff where eager locals can experience a home from home private cinema at the Cosy Cinema Pod Park!

After having millions of views on TikTok the concept took off and rather fittingly, this unique project supports the media streaming revolution. Guests have free reign to stream media of their choice whether that be gaming, movies, box sets or even live sporting events. Those in need of some cosy, uninterrupted Netflix time can log into their accounts to enjoy a private viewing experience in a glamping haven.
Cosy Cinema believe: “It’s inside that counts”; so just what can guests expect inside the pods?
A relaxing and comfortable space with a 92-inch screen and audio in partnership with Orbital Sounds delivers perfect acoustics. The pods are air conditioned and temperature-controlled meaning guests can enjoy this special treat all year round. The pod has an honesty fridge and guests can order takeaways too! They also offer a ‘Cosy Combo’ made up of goodies such as drinks and sweet treats for just £15.
The showings are three hours long and customers can choose from: afternoon showing 12:30pm-3:30pm; early evening showing 4pm-7pm; or evening showing 7:30pm-10:30pm, all priced at £55. The pods have a capacity of two adults and four children meaning it is a great choice for a family activity.

Cosy Cinema also offer an ‘All Nighter’ package for couples (18+) to recharge and unwind. The pods are a new place to get away, cuddle up and experience accommodation like no other. There are various time slots for overnight stays ranging from £99 to £135, and even a two night stay for £265.
Guests can make their experience extra special and request banners, balloons and even petals (Cosy Cinema boasts two marriage proposals since its inception!), as they state: “We are here to make your stay personal”.
