One of Cardiff’s most popular bars is getting a festive makeover this November, transforming its rooftop terrace into a cosy Christmas wonderland complete with private cabins, twinkling lights, festive cocktails and seasonal food.
Flight Club, the fairground-inspired cocktail and Social Darts bar on St Mary Street, is preparing to launch its Winter Paradise on Monday 16 November, bringing a little Christmas magic to the heart of Cardiff city centre.
The bar’s rooftop terrace will be transformed into a winter grotto, with festoon lights hanging overhead, rich red and gold floral decorations, and plenty of festive greenery.
Heaters and blankets will keep things cosy, while groups looking for something a little more private can book their own rooftop cabins, perfect for Christmas catch-ups, festive date nights or office parties.
Christmas Cocktails and Festive Food
Flight Club is also giving its food and drinks menu a seasonal makeover, with four new cocktails inspired by the flavours of Christmas.
The festive cocktail menu includes:
- Sleigh My Margarita: A fruity twist on the classic margarita, combining blackberry, cranberry, fresh lime and a warming hint of cinnamon.
- Winter Hugo: The popular elderflower spritz gets a festive update with spiced berry cordial and prosecco.
- Jingle Bell Rock: A whisky highball combining spiced berries with a fiery ginger kick.
- Mistletoe & Pear: Berry vodka and elderflower mixed with crisp apple, pear and a touch of winter spice.
And there’s plenty of festive food to go alongside the drinks.
Visitors can tuck into crispy brie bites, pigs in blankets, pulled turkey sliders and mini truffle and Parmesan pizza pinwheels, bringing some familiar Christmas flavours to the sharing menu.
Inside, Flight Club’s colourful fairground-inspired bar will also be getting the Christmas treatment, with decorated trees, tinsel and wreaths wrapped around the dart oches.
For anyone who hasn’t visited before, Flight Club takes the traditional game of darts and gives it a modern twist, with interactive scoring and seven different games designed to give everyone a chance of winning, whether they’re a complete beginner or a regular player.
It’s become a popular spot for groups looking for something more interactive than the usual night out, and the Christmas makeover gives visitors another reason to head along.
When Does Flight Club’s Winter Paradise Open?
Christmas officially arrives at Flight Club on Monday 16 November 2026, when the rooftop Winter Paradise opens for the festive season.
