Rock legend Alice Cooper will begin his brand new UK book tour in Cardiff this autumn, giving fans a rare chance to hear the stories behind one of rock’s most extraordinary careers.
The tour, titled “Devil on My Shoulder”, will launch at New Theatre Cardiff on Sunday 11th October 2026, making the Welsh capital the first stop on an eight-date run across the UK.
The show celebrates Cooper’s new memoir and will dive into a career that has spanned more than six decades. Fans attending the Cardiff event can expect an evening of stories, reflections and behind-the-scenes moments from one of rock’s most theatrical performers.
Rather than a traditional concert, the event will take the form of a live conversation. Cooper will be joined by a guest moderator and will take questions from the audience, giving fans a rare glimpse into the life behind the stage persona that has become one of the most recognisable in rock music.

The book explores the striking contrast between Cooper’s infamous stage character and the man behind it. On stage, Alice Cooper is known for guillotines, horror theatrics and a larger-than-life villainous presence. Off stage, he is Vincent Furnier, the son of a pastor who eventually found sobriety after years of excess.
Reflecting on the journey, Cooper explains that he has spent much of his life with “an angel on one shoulder and the devil on the other”. After more than sixty years in music and over thirty albums, he says the time has finally come to separate the truth from the myths that have built up around his career.
He has openly spoken about how the Alice Cooper character eventually blurred with his real life, explaining that he legally changed his name after being drawn deeper into the reputation the character had created. In his own words, the mild-mannered American boy he once was slowly turned into something far darker.
The upcoming tour promises to unpack those stories, from the wild early days of shock rock through to the path that eventually led him back to stability and perspective.
After Cardiff, the tour continues to Cambridge, London, Brighton, Manchester, Stockton, Glasgow and Wolverhampton.
Tickets go on general sale at 10am on Friday 13th March 2026, with pre-orders for the book and tour tickets available through AEG Presents.
