Whitchurch village has a new cocktail bar and street food location

There’s a new cocktail bar and street food restaurant opening in Whitchurch village.

New Cocktail bar ‘Venue’ is a modernised pub concept opening on the site of Jack Russells Irish bar.

The newly opened Irish themed pub closed suddenly a couple of weeks ago after reopeing after lock down.

The new Venue aims to bring streetfood and live music together, a theme that has worked fantastically well at Festivals for many years, and also throwing in some of the
pub classic features that the British public know and love.

Customers will be able to have a contemporary street food experience, whilst listening to a local musician playing the Bongos or even play some pool with your friends.

Alongside this they are producing some exciting new cocktails menu, which have been put together by mixologist Rhodri Theaker, a Whitchurch Local who has some insane bartending skills coming off the ‘European Bartender Course.

Venue has been taken over by Paul Lloyd : who runs cocktail bar, ‘The Vaults, and pub ‘The Mansel Arms’ in Carmarthen. This is his latest venture and biggest project in his current portfolio of businesses in the hospitality sector. Paul says: “We hope to bring a new bar to the area that is welcoming, fun and providing a service to the local community.”

Venue opens its door at 4 pm tonight with live music and the first 80 guests will get a free drink on arrival.
