US SANDWICH CHAIN WHICH WICH IS COMING TO CARDIFF

Cardiff’s food scene continues to heat up as yet another American name prepares to make its debut in the Welsh capital. Which Wich, the cult-favourite sandwich chain from Texas, has confirmed plans to open its first-ever location in Wales, bringing its famous toasted sandwiches and customisable menu to the heart of the city.

Founded in Dallas in 2003, Which Wich has become a major player in the US sandwich market, boasting nearly 230 locations across America and an expanding international presence. The Cardiff restaurant will mark a significant step for the brand as it looks to break into the UK market through a franchise agreement with Breaking Brands Management— the team also responsible for introducing several other US casual dining names to Britain.

Known for its “build-your-own” sandwich concept, Which Wich gives customers total control over their meal, offering a huge range of bread types, proteins, cheeses, and toppings, as well as plenty of vegan and healthier options. Diners can expect everything from classic turkey clubs and hearty Philly cheesesteaks to inventive creations like avocado BLTs and spicy chicken melts — all toasted to perfection.

The chain has earned a devoted following for its tech-driven approach to fast casual dining, using digital ordering and a slick, user-friendly experience that streamlines the process from customisation to collection.

While the exact opening date and location are yet to be confirmed, work is understood to be underway at a Cardiff city centre site, with the launch expected later this year.

With its combination of quality ingredients, American flair, and a focus on speed and personalisation, Which Wich looks set to become a hit with Cardiff’s lunchtime crowd. The brand’s arrival marks yet another sign that Cardiff’s food landscape continues to attract big international names — and plenty of local excitement.
