The Welsh BeatBox Championship 2018

Making strange sounds with your mouth at a young age and then later discovering what you’re doing is called ‘beatboxing’ is a familiar story

We’re expecting big things this Sunday at the Welsh Beatbox Championships in Gwidihuw. Whether you’re well acquainted with beatboxing or you’re completely newbies like us, the event is going to be a lot of fun.

The best beatboxers Wales has to offer are going to be competing against each other in the hope of becoming Welsh Beatbox Champion 2018. There are several categories – main solos, loop station, tag teams and under 18s. Each category looks set to be strongly contested and should throw up some really good battles.

Entries have now closed for all categories, but there’s still plenty of time to get a ticket and watch the talented competitors take each on. All three judges are renowned beatboxers, including two previous winners of the championships, FROSTY and EPOS, so they know their stuff. The judges will also be performing their own solo sets so that you can see the experts at work.

This is one of the coolest events happening in Cardiff during autumn, definitely not the sort of thing you get to see every day, and we can’t wait to see the amazing skills on show.

If you like the sound of that then you’re in luck! Here at It’s On we have 5 pairs tickets to give away!

To enter simply join the  It’s On Event Group  and tag your friends in the post in the group.

Winner will be picked Friday evening.
