Sky Sports are celebrating the British and Irish Lions Tour of South Africa with a special piece of artwork by world-leading perceptual artist, Michael Murphy.
The multi-directional illusion sculpture stands suspended within a seven meter by seven-meter truss and is formed of three hundred pipes, wrapped with 180 meters of vinyl prints.
The only way to fully appreciate this perceptual artwork is to see it in location by walking around it. When viewed from the correct angles, the artwork forms a Lions player on one side and a Lion head on the other.
The artwork is located in the Castle’s Public Square, with free admission between 10:00 – 16:00 from Wed, 14 July to Sun, 19 July.
