Wine lovers rejoice! The Cardiff Wine Festival is returning and it’s even better than before.
The festival, which debuted to much fanfare last year, is making a return for 2023. In a new venue, complete with even more amazing vendors and products, it’s time to get excited for the food and drink event of the summer.
After the success of 2022’s festival, Cardiff Wine Events have put their efforts into creating a second edition of the wine festival. This year it will be located at Cardiff’s finest new luxury hotel – The Parkgate Hotel – on Westgate Street. This spectacular venue has been chosen to host the all-day event on Saturday 24th June 2023.
As before, the walk-around event will consist of over 40 winemakers, as well as spirits and a range of artisan fine food producers. These producers stem from not only the UK but also across the globe; as the events company state: “Travel the world through wine”. Attendees can expect to sample everything from British cheeses to the finest pastas, truffles and Spanish tapas.

This event will give guests the opportunity to taste and purchase all of the wonderful foods and beverages on offer, as well as find that perfect pairing. With over 250 wines on offer, you are sure to find something that takes your fancy – whether you’re a white, red, rose or sparkling lover – you will be spoilt for choice.
As well as being a wonderful stage to showcase the best vinos around, Cardiff Wine Festival is also the ideal event to mingle with other wine enthusiasts, sharing your favourite flavours in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. Not only that, this year sees the addition of local artists and a charity raffle; in raising money, the organisers implore people to: “Drink. Eat. Do good.”
The day will begin at 1pm for the first of two sessions: the afternoon session runs from 1pm-4pm, and the evening tasting is 5pm-8pm. There are a choice of times and prices to suit but forewarning: tickets are selling fast and Early Bird Tickets are only available until 28th February! This great discount sees afternoon and evening tickets priced at £15 and £20, respectively. General sale starts on 1st March where an afternoon session will cost £25 and the evening is £30.
