The Cardiff Food & Drink Festival Goes Virtual

The Cardiff Food..and Drink Festival, planned for the weekend of July 11-12 will be cancelled because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the town council has confirmed.

The free event is popular with visitors but the government guidance on social distancing and mass gatherings has meant that the event cannot take place.

That doesn’t mean you can’t get your foodie fix. Organisers have followed the trend of dozens of gatherings set to take place this summer.

This year the event will be moving online to support our local food producers and suppliers in these difficult times. We hope to offer our visitors a virtual place to browse and purchase much of the normal amazing food produce on offer; and also add a little of the flavour of the extremely popular annual festival we all love.

The new website has gone live today which will be updated in the weeks leading up to the event with more information.

The virtual festival is set to take place on the3rd , 4th and 5th July 2020
