There’s so much going on lately it can be hard to keep up. Luckily, here at It’s On, we’re on the case. Every week we’re going to do a round-up of the best things happening in Cardiff. And there couldn’t be a better week to start with, there’s so much to choose from. We’ve whittled down the list of options to leave you with five of the best.

Pete Tong Presents Ibiza Classics

Pete Tong and the Heritage Orchestra, conducted by Jules Buckley, performing Ibiza classics in Cardiff Castle. Need we say more? The iconic DJ is bringing his massive dance anthems to the Heart of the Capital, backed by a world-renowned 65-piece orchestra. Expect lasers and wall-to-wall bangers. The castle is going to be jumping. Oh, and the forecast says sunshine. No wonder tickets sold out in a day – Ibiza is coming to Cardiff!

Catfish and the Bottlemen

Another night, another huge event in the Castle. On Sunday one of Britain’s biggest bands will be playing a soaring set of guitar-laden anthems to a field of adoring fans. With great weather and great tunes, this will be a great one for music and festivals fans. Get ready to hold your arms aloft. Hopefully one of your friends will mind the drinks.

WelshFest

One of the very Welsh music festivals, WelshFest has a huge and diverse line-up, featuring more than 100 live acts performing across four live stages. It’s taking place in the countryside of the Vale of Glamorgan, in the gorgeous grounds of Coedarhydyglyn Estate. The festival is a great showcase of Welsh musical talent. As well as music, there are also family activities and attraction to look forward to. According to the festival’s website Welsh is ‘’the Festival Wales has been waiting for!!!”

Capital FM Cardiff Bay Beach Festival

This year’s Cardiff Bay Beach Festival has been the best yet. Bigger than ever before, and in a new location on the Barrage, this is a great place to spend a few hours in the sun. There’s loads of good food, drink and ice cream stalls, as well as great rides, plenty of live music and over 500 tonnes of sand. It’s like being on holiday!
