Review – Live Forever: The Rise of Britain’s Greatest Rock ‘n’ Roll Band

The Oasis fever has officially begun! What better way to kick off the year that will see Oasis reform and hit the road on their first tour in 16 years than with Live Forever: The Rise of Britain’s Greatest Rock ‘n’ Roll Band? If you’re a fan Oasis fan or a child of the 90s, or have a ticket to see them in 2025 this is a show you simply cannot miss and the perfect warm up.

Live Forever  tells the rise of Oasis, taking audiences on a journey from their humble beginnings on a Manchester council estate to their legendary Knebworth concerts, where they played to over a quarter of a million fans. The story unfolds through the band’s incredible catalogue of music, with over 30 iconic hits, including WonderwallDon’t Look Back In AngerSome Might Say, and, of course, Live Forever. make no mistake this is a juke box show of classics with the odd bit of story telling thrown in for good measure, but it was great, listen and join in with the band

Having seen both Noel and Liam perform in Cardiff last year, it’s fair to admit that even they didn’t quite match the sound of their heyday – though their passion and charisma were undeniable. This show is was very similar in that sense. The performers may not be the real band, nor are they on a massive stage in a stadium Instead, they’re on a small theatre stage, but they carry the same ethos and spirit that made Oasis so unforgettable. That, paired with their energetic and heartfelt renditions, makes Live Forever a thoroughly enjoyable experience.

As the setlist unfolded, packed with over 30 legendary hits, it became impossible not to be swept away by the music. The performers capture the sound and attitude of the Gallagher brothers, and by the time the crowd was belting out Wonderwall and Don’t Look Back In Anger, the whole theatre felt like one massive singalong. Hearing everyone join in made me even more excited for Oasis’ first Cardiff gig in July.

This isn’t just a tribute; it’s a celebration of one of Britain’s greatest bands. Whether you’re reliving the 90s or discovering Oasis’s magic for the first time, Live Forever is an electrifying show that reminds us all why their music still resonates so deeply and their come back tour one of the biggest that has ever been. Don’t miss it!
