Founded by Pranee and Andrew Laurillard, with its first restaurant in Brighton, Giggling Squid now operates 46 venues across England. It has established a strong reputation for bold Thai cuisine, complemented by a stylish and relaxed setting. Artisan gelato brand Swoon will open its first Cardiff shop in the new year at the entrance to Duke Street Arcade, overlooking Cardiff Castle.
Swoon’s distinctive black and white shops serve its own handmade gelato alongside speciality desserts such as mini gelato cakes, ‘Swoondaes’ and semifredo cakes. They also serve Italian coffee from Naples and their own pure hot chocolate drinks.

Fast-food chain Popeyes will be offering its famous ‘Louisiana chicken’ to fans across the UK with their first Welsh restaurant opening in Cardiff. The Popeyes menu boasts a range of classic and spicy chicken burgers in brioche buns, Louisiana chicken on the bone, which has been marinated in herbs and spices for 12 hours, buttermilk chicken tenders and hot wings. Sides include mac and cheese, Cajun seasoned fries, mash and Cajun gravy and the original biscuit, with or without Cajun gravy.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column][/vc_column][/vc_row]
