Cardiff Bay is about to get a taste of the Deep South as a new New Orleans-style seafood restaurant is set to open in the former Mischief’s bar. This exciting new venue will bring the flavours, sounds, and soul of Louisiana to the heart of the Bay, serving up a seafood and grill menu alongside live jazz and blues every weekend.

Open six days a week (closed on Mondays), the restaurant promises an authentic Creole dining experience, featuring dishes like seafood boil served in a teapot, a nod to traditional Southern cooking with a unique twist. The menu will focus on fresh seafood, bold spices, and smoky grilled flavours, bringing something truly different to the Cardiff food scene.

The venue is also set to have a whisky bar upstairs, giving guests a cosy spot to enjoy a dram of bourbon or whiskywhile soaking in the live music.
With Cardiff Bay’s strong maritime history, the addition of a New Orleans-style seafood restaurant feels like a natural fit. Whether you’re a seafood lover, a jazz enthusiast, or just looking for something new, this spot is shaping up to be a must-visit when it opens later this year.
They’re currently offering lunch and dinner, but hope to extend to brunch and will open the whisky bar upstairs soon.
