New Halloween Scare Experience Comes To Cardiff

Clearwell Farm, just outside Cardiff, has long been a favourite for autumn days out – famous for its pumpkin patches, sunflower fields and festive Christmas trees. But this year, things are taking a terrifying turn. For the very first time, the farm is being transformed into an immersive Halloween scare attraction that promises to be one of the spookiest nights out in South Wales. Welcome to the Harvest of Horrors.

Running from 28th to 31st October 2025, the event will plunge brave visitors into a chilling storyline where the farm itself has been cursed. Once a thriving farmland, something dark has taken root. The crops have rotted in the fields, the scarecrows have come to life, and the farmers are no longer entirely human. It’s not just cosy pumpkin picking – this is Halloween like you’ve never seen it before.

The Scare zones are held on the farm yard

Three terrifying zones to survive

The experience takes guests through three uniquely themed scare zones, each one more unsettling than the last:

Barn One – The Slaughterhouse
An abandoned barn where farmers once prepared their harvest is now a blood-soaked nightmare. Chainsaws roar, meat hooks dangle from the rafters, and masked butchers prowl in the shadows. Every corner drips with menace, and you’ll never quite know what’s waiting behind the next door.

Barn Two – The Possessed Granary
Once a humble storehouse of grain, this space has been overtaken by dark forces. Here you’ll encounter demonic scarecrows, chanting children and hooded cult members hidden among the rotting hay bales. Watch your step – the shadows are alive.

The Village – Outdoor Area
Step outside and into the misty farmland itself. Corn rows, rusting tractors and forgotten machinery set the scene for a terrifying village where ghostly farmers and pumpkin-headed creatures rise from the earth. Fog clings to the ground while eerie lights and sudden scares keep you constantly on edge.

And don’t think you’re safe moving between areas – roaming actors will ensure that the fear never lets up, wherever you go.

More than just scares…

Harvest of Horrors is designed as a full evening experience, not just a walk-through attraction. As well as the three main zones, guests can enjoy:

  • The pumpkin patch, open for you to grab a souvenir gourd (if you make it out alive).
  • A “misfortune teller”, offering creepy fortunes and twisted readings.
  • Themed food and drink, with street food, snacks and bar service to keep you fuelled.
  • Ghoulish games and farm-side entertainment before (or after) you test your nerves inside.

It’s set to be the ultimate Halloween night out in Cardiff – perfect for horror fans, thrill-seekers and anyone who loves a good jump scare.
