Dance music legend MK is heading back to Cardiff this autumn for his first show in the Welsh capital since 2019. The iconic Detroit DJ and producer will headline Shangri-La at Depot on 24 October, marking a long-awaited return and first time for the cardiff club night.
Fresh off the success of his latest hit Dior, which topped the UK charts for two consecutive weeks, MK (real name Marc Kinchen) has been riding a wave of international acclaim. The track, featuring rising Manchester singer-songwriter Chrystal, has cemented his reputation as one of house music’s most enduring and groundbreaking names.
A pioneer in house music since the early 90s, MK shot to fame with timeless club anthems like Burning and Always. Now 52, he continues to sell out venues across the globe, with recent appearances at Coachella, Glastonbury and Longitude under his belt. With over one billion global streams and a career spanning more than three decades, MK remains at the top of his game.
This Cardiff show is part of Shangri-La’s incredible 2025 run, a series that has already welcomed dance heavyweights like Sam Divine, Chris Stussy and Welsh icon Jamie Jones. Also on the lineup for this year are Sonny Fodera, Ben Hemsley and Rossi, East End Dubs, making Shangri-La one of the UK’s most talked-about party series.
