After a dry spell of Gobi-like proportions, it’s open season for movie lovers in Cardiff. Cinemas are reopening, and the open air cinemas are back – albeit in on a smaller scale than last summer’s wheel-athon.
Returning this summer, Lost Lands Rooftop is back to deliver a unique cinema experience right in the heart of the city. Watch a film under the stars with piece of mind in one of Cardiff’s favourite open air cinemas.
Located on the rooftop of the popular Jacobs Market, Lost Lands provides the chance to take in a view of the city like no other. You’re going to want to arrive early for your film, giving yourself enough time to sip at some drinks and watch the sun set over the city. You can also munch on some of the finest street food grub, with the first guest vendor confirmed as Macho Nacho.
All drinks are table, or deck chair, service via an app so you will not have to move a muscle. And, don’t be perturbed by the recent weather, if it rains then the audience will be kitted out with ponchos.
Opening night is confirmed as the all time classic summer feel good flick, Dirty Dancing. Followed the week after by Tarantino’s finest Pulp Fiction, and new sensation The Sound of Metal. Many more films to be confirmed as the summer finally gets back on track.
Book your tickets today for as many as 6 friends, and swap Netflix in the lounge for cinema under the stars. Pretty good deal if you ask me. You can find your tickets here.
