Scottish noise-rock legends The Jesus and Mary Chain are set to bring their signature mix of chaos and melody to Tramshed, Cardiff, on 21st June 2025.
Formed in 1983 by brothers Jim and William Reid, the band revolutionised alternative music with their 1985 debut album Psychocandy—a raw fusion of blistering feedback, dreamy pop hooks, and pure rock ‘n’ roll attitude. Their effortlessly cool, leather-clad aesthetic and deadpan swagger defined a generation and laid the foundation for shoegaze and alt-rock as we know it.
Decades on, The Jesus and Mary Chain remain as vital as ever. With a career spanning breakups, reunions, and some of the most influential records in indie history, their live shows still carry the same electrifying energy that made them icons in the first place.
This one-off Cardiff show is set to be an unmissable night of distorted guitars, hypnotic melodies, and uncompromising attitude.
Tickets go on sale Friday 28th at 9am. Don’t miss your chance to witness one of the most legendary bands of all time live in Cardiff.
