Hotpod Yoga Cardiff is stepping up to support mental health this May by partnering with suicide prevention charity CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably) during Mental Health Awareness Week (12–18 May 2025). The local hot yoga studio, based in Ocean Park, will host special fundraising activities designed to help people switch off, unwind, and support a vital cause.
To mark the occasion, Hotpod Yoga Cardiff is introducing a one-off ‘CALM Hotpod Flow’ session on Saturday 18 May. Blending the most soothing elements of their signature flow and restorative classes, this unique session is all about slowing down and finding calm — with 100% of proceeds going directly to CALM.
For those looking to dive deeper, they’ll also be offering a special CALM Class Pack: three hot yoga sessions for just £30, with half the proceeds donated to the charity. The immersive experience — combining 37-degree heat, calming music, and ambient purple lighting — is proven to help reduce stress, anxiety and even symptoms of depression.
Owner Liz Cousins said:
“We are delighted to be supporting CALM during Mental Health Awareness Week. It’s a timely opportunity to focus on our mental wellbeing, and to help people build long-term habits that support both mind and body.”
Renowned dancer and TV personality Shirley Ballas, an ambassador for CALM, added:
“I’ve been going to Hotpod Yoga classes for many years now and have found the practice to be highly beneficial to my own personal health and wellbeing. This partnership is such a natural and powerful fit.”
Hotpod Yoga is aiming to raise £10,000 nationwide during Mental Health Awareness Week. With over 60 studios across the UK — and Cardiff’s pod running since 2016 — they’ve helped thousands discover the physical and mental benefits of yoga in their signature cocoon-like studios.
