The ‘Thai’ is right to head down to Honest Burger Cardiff – Honest Burgers Cardiff unveils new Brother Thai burger
The BROTHER THAI burger combines a free-range buttermilk fried chicken thigh, mu ping glaze, sriracha mayo, lime leaves, Thai pickled cucumber, red chillies with Brother Thai’s signature slaw for a punchy, sticky and spicy burger only available at Honest Burgers Cardiff. Served with Honest’s homemade rosemary salted chips as standard, the special comes in at £13.50 (£1 more on Deliveroo).
Of the launch, Honest Burgers Cardiff Head Chef Rhys Huntley said: “When it came to refreshing our Cardiff local special, Brother Thai was top of my list for a collab. His food is amazing and he’s very hands-on when it comes to development. Over lockdown we spent a few weeks discussing ideas and settled on a simple fried chicken burger that hits the salty, sweet and spicy notes that Thai food is famous for. It’s a unique burger for Cardiff and I can’t wait to start serving it.”
Brother Thai founder Andrew Chongsathien added: “When we met Honest on the street food circuit in Cardiff, both of us had some ideas from the offset and it’s great that it’s finally come together. With our first restaurant opening in the city, this is another highlight of the year. The mu ping-inspired glaze is typically used on pork skewers but is a fun twist on Thai fried chicken. For us, it’s always been about trying new ideas based on old traditions, and we’re really pleased how this Collab has turned out. Aroi Mak Mak!”
