Planning on investing in a real Christmas tree this year? Good news: Ikea has announced its annual Christmas tree offer is back for the ninth year, meaning that you can dress your home for the festive season without breaking the bank – but there are some restrictions in place.
The trees will be avialble in selected stores across the UK from Sunday 22nd November with the Cardiff store being one of the first.
Here’s how it works: you must buy the ABIES NORDMANNIANA Christmas tree, which has a retail value of £29. Once you’ve made your purchase, IKEA will reward you with a £20 voucher – leaving you technically having spent just £9 on the tree itself.
This year, customers in Cardiff will have to order their tree in advance through a click and collect facility at the store on Ferry Road, Grangetown.
Ikea will only be stocking Nordmann fir trees grown in Wales, while Ikea elsewhere will be selling trees grown in England and Scotland.
Customers can reserve a tree online and pay for it on collection. Card and cashless payments will be accepted.
