The 20th anniversary of Greenman Festival got off to an incredible start.
This year’s Rising winners Dactyl Terra set the tone for the weekend with a bang on the main stage after beating hundreds of hopeful bands for the first slot of the weekend (check out our interview with them over on YouTube).[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”28189″ img_size=”full”][vc_column_text]From there the momentum of the weekend could only build! Wales’ own Melin Melyn were a particular highlight for us in the Walled Garden in the afternoon, along with newcomer Alisa Tully on the Rising Stage. We fuelled up on plenty of delicious food; fried squid, rotisserie chicken and a mountain of loaded nachos kept us going till the early hours.
The Mountain Stage delivered so much world class music on the first evening of the weekend, Orchestra Baobab, Kae Tempest, a surprise set from Public Service Broadcasting and a jaw dropping finale from electro legends Kraftwerk! They brought their trippy 3D visuals to the Brecon Beacons and we could not get enough of it. A bit of a boogie in Round The Twist and we called it a night, ready to hit the ground running for another spectacular day of Music, Comedy and mouthwatering Food![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
