Foodies Festival Returns to Cardiff for Its Third Year of tasty eats and Musical treats in Bute Park
Cardiff is gearing up to welcome back the much-anticipated Foodies Festival, the UK’s largest touring food and drinks festival, returning for a third year next summer. Known for its blend of culinary brilliance, incredible local street food, and unforgettable live music, the festival promises to be a true celebration of Welsh food and culture.
Set to take place from May 11th to May 13th, the event will shine a spotlight on local artisan producers, street food vendors, and food and drink innovators, all coming together for a weekend of delicious discovery.
The Theatres: A Foodie’s Paradise
At the heart of the festival are its vibrant theatre stages, where top local chefs, including Tommy Heaney of Heaney’s, James and Georgia Sommerin, and Carl Cleghorn, will showcase their cooking skills. Justin Llewellyn from The Parkgate Hotel’s Sorting Room will also take to the stage, sharing his culinary secrets. Whether you’re a passionate home cook or a budding chef, you’ll leave with new recipes and tips to try in your own kitchen.
Meanwhile, the Drinks Theatre will offer tutored tastings hosted by wine, champagne, beer, and cider experts, while children can get hands-on in the Kids Cookery Theatre, exploring new flavours and learning essential cooking skills.
The Music Line-Up
This year’s festival features an impressive line-up on the Musicians Against Homelessness (MAH) stage, with all funds raised supporting the charity Crisis. The headliners include:
- Symphonic Ibiza May 9th
- Scouting For Girls May 10th
- The Wanted 2.0 May 11th
