Heidi’s Bier Bar is set to open its first UK venue on Mill Lane

A Scandinavian beer hall invited us to take a sneak peek inside their first Welsh venue. They currently have a number of branches across Finland, Norway and Denmark, but this will be the first branch inside the UK.

The Scandinavian brand’s website promises visitors can enjoy an “authentic après-ski atmosphere” with 4 litre beer towers, table dancing ‘Oktoberfest style’ served by staff dressed in traditional Tyrolean outfits.

Drinks will flow from more than 10 different taps, and if you prefer bottled craft beer, you can take your pick from their selection of more than 35 delicious Nordic and international beers.

The new Bar will open on the site of former nightclub SODA bar on Mill Lane, which covers all three floors and will have a new Roof terrace bar. The new roof terrace will feature amphitheatre seating and a new bar beneath a retractable canopy and will remain open until midnight.

There’s no date yet when the  premises at 4 – 6 Mill Lane will open but they have told It’s On that an announcement will be made in the next few days.

Heidi’s Bar isn’t the only new bar to arrive in Cardiff in 2022. Par 59 a golf bar that’s backed by Gareth Bale, is set to open in March whilst Tonight Josephine plans to open on Chippy Lane on the site of the Charleston Steak House. So there’s loads to look forward to as we head into Spring.
