From Dixieland to Mermaid Quay, Elvis is entering the building
Cardiff Bay is about to get all shook up as a massive FREE Elvis, Rock & Roll Weekend rolls into town this summer. From 30 May to 1 June, the bay will be alive with the sound of rock ’n’ roll as tribute acts, fans and impersonators gather for a three-day celebration of The King himself.
Organised by Thunderbolt Promotions – the team behind some of the UK’s biggest Elvis shows – this free event will be centred around Demiro’s in Mermaid Quay, with live shows also taking place at Lo Lounge and along the Mermaid Quay Waterfront.
Whether you’re a lifelong fan or just fancy a weekend of classic tunes, street food and toe-tapping entertainment, this is a weekend you won’t want to miss.
A Star-Studded Line-up Fit for a King
The Elvis tribute line-up features some of the UK’s very best performers, including:
- Arron Walker – Multi-award winner and former European Champion
- Dylan Taylor – Former Welsh Elvis Champion
- Evan King – European Youth Champion
- Jamie Warren – Best Welsh Champion 2024
- Leigh Casling – GI Elvis and former European Champion
- Darren H Presley – Winner of The Voice of Elvis
- Charlie Harper – Multi-award winner praised by Priscilla Presley for his likeness to Elvis
- Victor Andrews – Another top Welsh Elvis Champion * As seen in Benidorm
And adding even more sparkle to the weekend, Lauren Knight will be appearing as Priscilla Presley, bringing elegance and Graceland charm to the festivities.
Daytime Shows and Waterfront Vibes
The daytime shows will take place at Demiros and on the Mermaid Quay Waterfront’s outside stage, creating a buzzing hub of activity for the whole family to enjoy. The day time show and entertainment kicks off from 12pm – till late, with an afternoon of performances overlooking Roald Dahl plass and the water and evening shows at Demiros include include Evan King, Arron Walker, Leigh Casling, Victor Andrews, Charlie Harper, Darren H Presley and Dylan Taylor.
Inside the Lo Lounge, you’ll find the ultimate fan zone for Elvis lovers – a buzzing waterfront spot where Elvis will be in the building from 3pm until late. Expect street food, signature cocktails, Elvis karaoke, sunset views, and even an Elvis DJ spinning tracks to keep the rock ’n’ roll spirit alive all night long. performances from Jack Atherton, multi-award winning Karl Memphis, the incredible Charlie Harper and the current Welsh Champion, Jamie Warren.
Book Your Spot – But Don’t Be Cruel
Although all shows are free to attend, tables at Demiro’s evening shows inside can be booked in advance with a £10 deposit – which will be reimbursed on the day. With crowds expected from the Mermaid Quay to Maryland, early booking is advised.
