Alt-rock icons Deftones have announced their long-awaited return to UK stages with a major headline tour in 2026 — and Cardiff is on the list. The Grammy-winning band will perform at the Utilita Arena Cardiff on 18th February 2026, marking one of just five UK shows planned for the tour.
Formed in 1988 in Sacramento, Deftones have spent over three decades shaping the sound of alternative rock. With frontman Chino Moreno’s haunting vocals, and a sound that pushes boundaries, Deftones are renowned for their genre-defying artistry across nine studio albums—including their Grammy-nominated Ohms. Their 2025 appearance marks a highly anticipated return for fans eager to experience Deftones’ raw, emotional live energy once again.
This will be the band’s first UK appearance in three years and is already shaping up to be one of the most talked-about rock events of next year. Known for their atmospheric sound, heavy riffs and genre-defying style, Deftones are riding the wave of a wider ‘90s rock revival and fans in Cardiff can expect an explosive performance.
Joining them on the road are special guests Denzel Curry and Drug Church, adding a dynamic mix of hip hop and hardcore punk to the bill. With this handpicked lineup, the show promises to deliver a high-energy night that spans genres and generations.
