There’s a new classic steak house in Cardiff!

Always a big treat, ordering a steak in a restaurant invariably makes you feel like Henry VIII – elevating the meal to something that little extra special. so when we heard a new steak house has opened in Cardiff we had to check it out.

Located on Wellfield Road on the site of the old Chaiholics tea rooms, the new all-day venue will serve prime cuts of beef and grilled fish.

What’s on the menu?
The new addition to Roath’s dining scene will see a menu, carefully crafted, that features snacks and starters such as a Broccoli and cauliflower lollipops and Duck and sweet chilli chicken skewers. Mains include UK prime rib, t-bone steaks and many more meaty cuts to choose from.

Drinks menu: The 40-cover bar has a drinks menu that includes a wide selection of gins as well as an extensive wine carefully selected to match your meal.

Owner Maria Chiriac said: “Da iawn is born from our passion for cooking and building priceless relationships with our community”

“Cardiff loves fabulous steak, but sadly, because of the pandemic many firm favourite restaurants in city centre have closed. Our restaurant and bar just outside the city is the only steak house in Roath and surrounding areas and we aim to deliver an outstanding dining experience with the best cuts from the  best farms in Wales. All served in beautiful surroundings.”
