The festive season has arrived once again. Now is the time to get into the spirit and buy a Christmas jumper. Hurry- they will fly off the shelves. Cardiff’s shops have a variety of jumpers for all tastes at various prices.
The cheapest jumpers can be found at the Factory Shop, based on Queen Street. They have a wide range of Christmas characters in multiple colours- from Santa to snowmen. At just £10, for both men and women, you can’t go wrong. The only ones they don’t have on sale that are in other shops were jumpers with the flashing lights.
Primark is always a popular shop if you want to go all out for Christmas this year. The flashing light and musical “press me” jumpers will definitely be the talk of any works party. Yet, for those who are interested in something slightly more subtle, or as subtle as you can get at this time of year, Primark does offer jumpers ranging from reindeers to Aztec winter prints. The women’s jumpers start at £12. Currently, Primark has an offer on men’s Christmas jumpers which have been reduced from £12 to £9.
You may not have thought of looking here but Tesco is a good place to purchase your winter woollies. They have a big selection for men, women and children and are the second cheapest on the market – starting off at £12. From flashing lights to Santa jumping down a chimney, Tesco has it all. If you’re not a fan of the Christmas jumper, this shop also has a range of T-shirts, similar to the jumpers, ranging from elves to Santa suits. While the jumpers are all the rage, this is definitely a great alternative option.
Matalan are slightly pricier at £20 per jumper yet, they do have different designs on offer. From jumpers with Christmas slogans such as ‘Ho Ho Ho’ to red jumpers with a Christmas tree on the front.
Similarly Debenhams have a good selection of jumpers, varying in price. Some of the jumpers are more expensive than others, but you will be pleased to know that the cheapest ones are the most fun. The women’s jumpers here start at £14 and follow a wintery theme, from elves to robins. There’s just as much selection for the men as there is for women. These include humorous jumpers with slogans such as ‘Merry Christmas you filthy animal’ and a Batman and Santa sweat.
John Lewis’ jumpers are the most expensive out of the selection available in Cardiff- ranging from £40- £60. The Children’s jumpers start at £16. The jumpers are more subtle but if Aztec print jumpers are your cup of tea and you don’t have a budget, John Lewis is the place to go.
