Cardiff Is Getting a New Upside Down House

Cardiff is set to welcome a bold new visitor attraction this February as Upside Down House UK opens its second Welsh location right in the heart of the city.

Landing on Queen Street, just moments from Cardiff Castle, St David’s Shopping Centre and the Principality Stadium, Upside Down House Cardiff will bring its instantly recognisable green, white and red exterior to one of the city’s busiest streets. Designed for families, friends, content creators and curious passers-by, the attraction promises playful escapism and plenty of standout photo moments.

Inside, visitors will step into eight uniquely themed rooms, each designed to flip everyday life completely on its head. The immersive spaces nod to Welsh culture and imagination, from a tribute inspired by the legendary Welsh Dragon to a rugby-themed room celebrating the nation’s sporting passion. There’s even a farm-style lounge complete with cosy interiors and cheeky sheep details, offering a light-hearted take on rural Wales.

Every room is designed to encourage interaction, creativity and a sense of fun, making it an experience that works just as well for younger visitors as it does for adults looking for something a little different to do in the city centre.

Alex Barbary, Associate Director of Upside Down House UK, said: “We’re incredibly excited to bring the Upside Down House to Cardiff. Opening our first location in Wales is a huge milestone for us. Cardiff’s creativity and culture are woven throughout the experience, and we can’t wait to welcome visitors from across Wales and beyond to step inside and turn their world upside down.”

Tickets are on sale now, with early access available ahead of the official opening. With its central location and eye-catching design, Upside Down House Cardiff is set to become one of the capital’s most talked-about new attractions this year.
