Nando’s Cardiff reopens after a major refurbishment

Nando’s Cardiff St David’s, is reopening today, following a complete refurbishment and is tantalizing taste buds once more.

The restaurant reopens with everything (and more!) that Nando’s aficionados love about their PERi-PERi eatery.

The ground floor has been reimagined with a larger welcome area, banquet style booths combined with new artwork, wall coverings, furniture and lighting to create a fresh and vibrant feel for the restaurant.  Split over two levels the restaurant can now seat 138 people.

Further improvements have taken place behind the scenes, to help the team deliver great PER-PERi chicken every time. Not stopping there, even the bathrooms have had a makeover.

The restaurant has been open at St David’s since 2009 and this is the most significant refurbishment to date.  Nando’s has four restaurants in Cardiff, employing almost 200 people with 13 restaurants in total across South Wales.

Together with that fresh new look, the restaurant has some new kit including a bottomless RUBRO Iced Tea machine and Dr Pepper Zero has been added to the existing bottomless soft drink range.   There is also a new hot drinks machine.

This week also sees the Nando’s festive menu drop at Nando’s Cardiff St David’s.  There’s a new starter Bubble & Squeak Croquettes  Nando’s twist on a popular Portuguese snack. Crispy croquettes filled with shredded Brussels sprouts, mash and red onion and served with Caesar dressing for dipping.

The Total Sleigh burger has also landed. Chicken breast decked with melted cheese, Bubble & Squeak Croquettes, caramelised onions, lettuce and Churrasco PERinaise stacked in a rustic roll. It’s served with PERi-Chicken Gravy for dunking and drizzling too.

And for dessert, there’s a new Warm Chocolate Orange Brownie. Super fudgy and covered in a layer of melty chocolate with an orange twist.

Nando’s continues its No Chuckin’ Our Chicken food donation programme, which operates in every Nando’s restaurant across UK and Ireland with daily donations to local charities, community groups, food banks and soup kitchens. Nando’s St David’s Cardiff teams up with the Huggard Centre, to redistribute left over food at the end of every day.

Kevin Perry General Manager of Nando’s Cardiff St David’s, said: “I’m so excited to be reopening our doors and welcoming fans, old and new, into our new restaurant. It looks amazing! With a fresh new look and state of the art equipment, we are ready to get grilling for everyone again, and to also continue all our community work. No Chuckin’ Our Chicken food donation programme is so important to us and I know that we are going to smash our donation records this year!”
