Taskforce Skirmish in Cowbridge is planning a Halloween horror survival event in which participants will battle to survive a zombie apocalypse in the Welsh woodland.
The event will transform the 30 acre paintball site; which is usually home to a range of activities including paintballing, archery and lasertag; into ‘Stronghold 101’- a highly classified research area that has gone awry and is now overrun with the angry un-dead.
Participants will be asked to bring their own torches, before being kitted out in safety gear, given a map of the infected area, and put to work on missions to recover vital survival packages buried in the camp. Teamwork, determination and a sense of humour will be essential to get through the challenge of facing the walking dead on Halloween weekend.
Speaking of the event, Taskforce site manager James Chinn said “We wanted to do something a bit different for Halloween, and after the success of events like 2.8 Hours Later in Cardiff, we thought that people would love the chance to test their nerves against a zombie apocolypse in the woods. We’ve been working hard to get some really realistic props made up – they look terrifying!”
“The lucky survivors who make it through will be extracted from ‘Stronghold 101’ at 9pm, and we’ll be putting on a hog roast and beers to toast their bravery afterwards – it should be a night to remember.”
The ticket price for Taskforce’s ‘Zombie Survival’ night on Friday 30th October is £45 per person, which includes an action-packed 3.5 hours of survival games. To book, contact Taskforce Skirmish on 029 2059 3900
