SUMMER IS IN FULL SWING

Garden parties, food festivals, plenty of family fun activities, and a chance for hard-working students to let their hair down, Cardiff is coming alive this August. And now the warm weather is set to return, we’re going to make the most of it with rooftop parties, secret gigs, festivals and more. We’ve got a giant beach and more welsh culture than you can shake a leek at. So stock up on factor 50 on and get ready to make some memories.

The Gruffalo’s Child: 2nd – 5th August

Join the Gruffalo’s Child on her brilliant adventure in Tall Stories’ magical, musical adaptation of the picture book by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler.

 

Eisteddfod –

Over 1,100 individual events in just over a week, with something for everyone taking place all over Cardiff Bay, Eisteddfod 2018 promises to be an event to remember.  The  celebration of the Welsh language and culture is back in the city with a celebration of Welsh music, literature, drama, dance, visual arts, food, science and technology.

The huge festival site is open from Saturday 3rd and best of all it’s FREE.

Groove presents: The Rooftop Summer Series 2018 – Part 3

The rooftop parties on top of Glam are back this Saturday with more DJs, top tunes and all the other best stuff about summer. Think Cocktails , sunsets, dancers and more.

WW1 Cavalry Re-enactment

A small group of re-enactors will be bringing two horses and some military style tents to Dyffryn Gardens to give you a flavour of what life was like for soldiers during WWI.  See the horses, ask questions from the experts and pop into the house to get an idea of what a convalescing home was like for a soldier during the period.

 

It’s a Rum ‘Ting with The Marley Experience

Another drink festival is landing in the city, this time it’s all about that beautiful Barbados water, rum.

One of the best Bob Marley Tribute bands around, The Marley Experience, will be, providing the perfect soundtrack to wash down a smooth glass of rumbullion.
