Vale Arena set to welcome Wales fans for an exclusive indoor fanzone and change their name to the Bale Sports Arena.
The countdown to Qatar ‘22 has begun. Excited football fans are awaiting the biggest event in world football which kicks off on Sunday 20th November. Following Wales’ immense success – qualifying for the world cup for the first time in over sixty years – the Vale Sports Arena has announced a dedicated fanzone!
Widely regarded as one of the biggest event venues in the Vale of Glamorgan, the Vale Sports Arena will be home to big screens and seating where fans can support the Wales team during their World Cup campaign. Boasting a capacity of up to 2000, the arena is sure to be buzzing with camaraderie and national pride come November.
Joint owners of the arena, Peter Griffiths and Catherine Sharp, decided to organise this venture after realising there were no planned fanzones. They say: ‘This is Wales’ first time in a World Cup since 1958 so we urge fans not to miss out on history! The family friendly fanzone will have huge giant screens plus food and drink available. We can’t wait to cheer on the Welsh national team but please note, there are limited tickets/tables for the event; they will sell quickly!’

The venue has already succeeded in creating a fanzone; it previously featured on national TV during the Euros and this time around they will be screening two group stage matches. Firstly, Wales’ Group B opener against USA on 21 November 7pm and of course, when Wales take on longstanding rivals England (29 November, 7pm) in a fixture that is sure to be as passionate as it is nail-bitingly tense.
The events will run from 5pm-11pm where the beers will be flowing and fans can chant and sing their hearts out. Tickets prices are as follows: £10 for a single ticket, £35 for a table of 4 and £95 for a table of 10. *Under 18s must be with an adult.
