Wales set to Play England and Canada in a Friendly

This is first meeting between the sides since the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar

Craig Bellamy’s Cymru will take on Canada at Swansea.com Stadium and England at Wembley, rounding off their 2025 international fixtures.

The match against Canada on Tuesday, 9th September (KO 7:45 pm) sees the national team return to Swansea for the first time since a goalless draw with the USA in 2020. The last time Cymru played in front of a crowd at the venue was in March 2013 against Croatia—a game featuring Bellamy himself. The upcoming fixture will be the fourth meeting between Cymru and Canada, with the last encounter ending in a 1-0 win for Wales in Wrexham back in 2004.

Cymru will then face familiar rivals England at Wembley on Thursday, 9th October (KO 7:45 pm). The two sides last met at the 2022 FIFA World Cup, with previous encounters in the UEFA EURO 2016 finals and a behind-closed-doors friendly during the COVID-19 pandemic. Cymru’s last competitive match in front of a Wembley crowd was in 2011 under Gary Speed, suffering a narrow 1-0 defeat in the EURO 2012 qualifiers.

These matches complete Cymru’s 2025 schedule as they prepare for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, kicking off against Kazakhstan on 22nd March at Cardiff City Stadium. Ticket details for the Canada and England fixtures will be announced soon.
