There’s a new Portuguese chicken restaurant heading to Wellfield Road, ready to turn up the heat on what has become a very hot food spot.
New openings are springing up all over the place this summer, so there’s no shortage of great food places to try.
Veri Peri’s first restaurant was set up in Bradford in 2013, serving authentic Portuguese cuisine, including renowned ethnic specialities such as Chicken/Beef Espetada, Cataplana & Sizzling Veri Peri Steaks. Customers can choose either in-house fine dining or takeaway and delivery options.
Now, lucky us, Veri Peri is set to open its first site in Wales, in the same spot where the former Porro restaurant used to be on Wellfield Road. The quick-service restaurant has grown from strength to strength, opening an additional branches across the world, and now it’s coming to Wales.
All produce is freshly prepared and locally sourced, the menu serves up much more than just the traditional chicken espetada, offering an array of dishes including salads, soups, burgers, wraps, and pastas. Other signature dishes include the Veri Peri Sizzling Steak and the Cataplana.
Veri Peri also has a number of vegetarian options, one of which is the first all-vegetarian espetada made with grilled halloumi cheese, sautéed tomatoes and green peppers.
The brand has also created its own range of Veri Peri sauces with six flavours on offer, from flaming hot to garlic, lemon and herb versions.
There’s no date for the opening just yet but you can rest assured that as soon as we know you’ll the first to hear about it.
