In these difficult times, it is difficult to find safe places to go and unwind. Let the reopening of The North Star guide your way into traditional pub eating this Autumn.

Going back to the roots of the popular Cardiff venue, the new owners have decided to re-brand back to the original North Star name. In a time where everyone is struggling to keep above water, North Star is looking to strive ahead and offer a unique but welcome experience to customers. They have a brand-new look, complete with an exotic looking Garden and a freshen up indoors.

Highlights of the brand-new menu include Deep Fried Lasagne (sounds both weird and incredibly delicious at the same time!) a selection of Tacos, as well as pub classics like Traditional Pub Rolls and a Sunday Roasts. Plus, all clean eaters are welcome. One third of the new menu is vegan so everyone is catered for.

Let us not forgot, that not all quizzes have to take place over Zoom. I know! I’d forgotten too… Luckily the North Star will be holding a weekly quiz every Thursday. Plus, live sports events are always welcome on the big screen no matter what the weather does outside. Finally, I know this goes without saying at this point, but all necessary COVID measures will be in place to keep everyone safe. So, do not forget your bloomin masks!

Personally, I have some fond memories of The North Star from the days when I was a student in Talybont, the Cardiff Uni halls right on the doorstep. I am sure plenty of you will agree, there is nothing better to welcome you into a new city than a good local pub to make your own. It is great to see an old favourite return to full form.
