The Deck at Penarth Marina has exciting new developments including unique accommodation

Big things are underway at The Deck. Temporarily closed since September, the marina site has been undergoing some changes that are sure to be exciting for eager diners, drinkers…and overnight guests.

Penarth Marina will be home to ten new luxurious ‘floating bedrooms’. The Deck are behind this exciting development and aim to provide a unique experience – guests will be able to stay overnight afloat the marina waters!

The first two bedrooms arrived earlier this month and are berthed off the main walkway of the marina. The team at The Deck are in charge of their running and they hope to convert more people to the joys of boating.

As of December, all ten will be bookable through The Deck website and options include single, double and twin bedrooms complete with full ensuite facilities. A hotel stay like no other, guests can relax amongst the serene beauty of the marina with the added bonus of The Deck’s fantastic bar and restaurant nearby.

As for the restaurant itself, the plastic marquee that was previously in place over the balcony is being replaced by a brand-new extension; an improved facility that the team have welcomed. As well as making the site bigger, the restaurant is also undergoing some remodelling in preparation to welcome guests again from early November.

The Deck offers “a relaxed way to eat, drink and meet at the water’s edge” with freshly prepared food served every day, including breakfast options at the weekends and great drinks. From their delicious a la carte menu to Sunday roasts or even Prosecco afternoon tea, The Deck has a wonderful selection. The friendly team at the waterside venue welcome guests for any occasion – now even short-stays.

These exclusive floating bedrooms offer an opportunity to relax and unwind in a cosy setting which will enhance The Deck’s whole experience. These are sure to be in high demand once their availability goes live; where else can you curl up in blissful serenity on the water after indulging in tasty food and beverages.

The Deck state: “With the new extended restaurant and the opportunity to add an overnight stay to ‘afloat’ to your booking, we look forward to welcoming you and your visitors back to The Deck this winter.”

The Deck will be re-opening November 10th ready for Beaujolais celebrations with the new extension.
