The largest halloween and pumpkin festival in Wales is back and even bigger and spookier than before
If you loved last year’s Cardiff Pumpkin Festival then brace yourself because it’s back—bigger, spookier, and more thrilling than ever! Now reimagined as the Cardiff Halloween Festival, this year’s event at the stunning Coedarhydyglyn Park, near Culverhouse Cross, St. Nicholas, promises even more Halloween magic. Running from October 12th to 31st, the festival brings an expanded lineup of attractions, pumpkin-filled fun, and spooky experiences for all ages. The festival kicks off with its family-friendly daytime events, where you can wander through vast pumpkin fields filled with tens of thousands of pumpkins in every shape and size imaginable. New for 2024, kids and adults alike can enjoy the Monster Bash Family Disco, dancing tospooky beats under the autumn sun. Little ones will love the Trick or Treat Scavenger Hunt, where they can explore the festival grounds, uncover spooky surprises and win a treat. Plus, enjoy Live Stage Shows, Circus Workshops, Spooky Storytelling, the Skellywood Walk of Fame, the Neon Spider Quest, the Witch and Wizard Academy, fairground rides, a delicious food village, and so much more!
When the Sun Sets, the Magic Begins
Once night falls, the festival transforms into something truly spooktacular for the family-friendly TWILIGHT FESTIVAL. The glowing pumpkin fields come to life and dazzle at night, and as you wander through you can roast marshmallows on the fire pits before trying tofind your way out of the maize maze.
But that’s not all—prepare to be serenaded by the quirky and entertaining singing pumpkins, be dazzled by the spectacular fire show and enjoy live performances on the Howl-O-Scream Stage. Spooky performers will roam the grounds, adding to the eerie atmosphere, and all the thrills of the daytime festival take on a new life under the moonlight.
Scare Fest for the Brave
For the brave-hearted, the Scare Fest returns on October 25th, 26th, 27th, 30th, and 31st. This experience is not for the faint-hearted (ages 14+ only!). Three terrifying immersive,live-action mazes, creepy walkabout characters, thrilling rides, and live entertainment promise to give you a scare you won’t forget. Fancy a challenge?
